Anthony Ayebare
Anthony Ayebare is the Founder and CEO of Agripay Ventures Ltd, unlocking inclusive, climate-smart financing for smallholder farmers across Uganda. Born into a family of smallholder farmers, Anthony brings personal insight into the struggles rural producers face when trying to access capital, markets, and essential farm services. Since 2015, he has worked in the agribusiness space—building value chains, supporting farmer cooperatives, and designing input and post-harvest financing models that center farmer success. His leadership is grounded in lived experience, business acumen, and a belief that farmers' produce should be treated as a bankable asset.
At Agripay, Anthony leads the company’s vision to transform rural agriculture through a combination of digital infrastructure, produce-collateralized lending, and instant payment systems. He champions a new generation of farmer-focused finance, where regenerative agriculture, clean energy, and pre-season inputs are funded through flexible tools that meet farmers where they are. Under his guidance, Agripay is building a trusted ecosystem where smallholders are not only included in the financial system—but empowered to thrive within it.

Chief Operations Officer
Nahabwe Daphine
Nahabwe Daphine is the Co-Founder and Chief operations officer of Agripay Ventures, that delivers bespoke financing solutions to smallholder farmers in Uganda. With a background rooted in agricultural economics and hands-on farming experience, Daphine leverages both technical expertise in green-asset financing and a deep understanding of local farming challenges. Prior to establishing Agripay, she honed her skills in supply-chain optimization and digital payment platforms, helping rural producers access fair-market pricing and transparent trading channels. Her leadership style balances rigorous data-driven decision-making with community-centered stakeholder engagement, ensuring that every financing product—from pre-season loans to solar-powered irrigation credits—addresses real-time needs and maximizes impact.
Under Daphine’s stewardship, Agripay Ventures has rapidly built a “produce-as-collateral” model that eliminates middlemen, mitigates predatory lending, and transforms estimated harvest into a legitimate asset class .she has spearheaded partnerships with agronomists, export buyers, and renewable-energy providers to enable inclusive value chains. Daphine’s vision is to scale Agripay’s loans across Uganda, unlocking millions in untapped smallholder productivity, while embedding impact-measurement metrics that showcase both social uplift and financial returns.

Farmer Portfolio Director
Ariho Amon Otafiire
Otafiire Ariho Amon serves as the Farmer Portfolio Director at Agripay Ventures Ltd, where he oversees the identification, assessment, and onboarding of farmer groups and agricultural cooperatives into Agripay’s financing programs. With a strong background in public administration, legal compliance, and grassroots engagement, Amon brings over 15 years of experience working with local governments and rural communities. His role is central to building trusted farmer networks, evaluating cooperative readiness, and ensuring that all participants meet Agripay’s standards for accountability, capacity, and alignment with inclusive finance goals.
In this role, Amon also leads the design and enforcement of monitoring systems that support timely loan repayments, strengthen farmer performance, and reduce portfolio risk. By combining rigorous field assessments with stakeholder collaboration, he helps turn smallholder produce into reliable financial assets. His expertise ensures that Agripay’s financial solutions—from pre-season loans to instant payment products—reach the right hands and generate sustainable value for both farmers and the company.

Charles Serwadda
Charles Serwadda is the Chief Financial Officer at Agri-Pay Ventures, where he leads the design and execution of inclusive financial models that transform how smallholder farmers access and manage capital. With over a decade of leadership across credit, insurance, and solar sectors—including roles at Bayport, Sanlam, StarTimes, M-KOPA, and Platinum Credit—Charles brings deep expertise in risk management, operational finance, and rural market expansion.
Rooted in farming communities himself, Charles understands the daily and financial challenges that smallholder farmers face. At Agri-Pay, he combines this lived experience with sharp financial acumen to develop tools and systems that address liquidity gaps, improve repayment structures, and de-risk farmer financing. He is committed to building scalable, data-driven solutions that strengthen smallholder resilience and unlock new value in Uganda’s agricultural economy.

Chief Marketing Officer
Elia Kategaya
As the Chief Marketing Officer at Agripay Ventures Ltd, Elia Kategeya leads the company’s marketing and outreach efforts, working to elevate the voices of smallholder farmers and build strong, lasting partnerships across the agricultural ecosystem. With a degree in Business Administration from Uganda Pentecostal University and a background rooted in farming, Elia brings both personal and professional experience to his role. He is passionate about regenerative agriculture, clean energy access, and leveraging storytelling to drive impact. Outside of work, Elia enjoys traveling across rural Uganda, capturing farmer success stories, and engaging youth in agriculture.

Judith Ainemaani
As Head of Regenerative Agriculture at Agripay Ventures Ltd, Judith Ainemaani champions the transition of smallholder farmers from conventional to sustainable, climate-resilient practices. Raised in a farming community and trained in sustainable land use, Judith combines deep local knowledge with a passion for soil health, agroforestry, and biodiversity restoration. She leads Agripay’s green loan programs, supporting farmers to adopt agroecological systems that boost yields while restoring the environment. Judith holds a degree in Agriculture and Land Use Management and is a dedicated advocate for women in farming. .
